This Cookie Policy explains how the ccount website (ccount.app) uses cookies and similar technologies. The short version: we use only essential cookies. We do not track you, and we do not serve advertising cookies on this website.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They can be used for a variety of purposes — from keeping you logged in, to tracking your behaviour across the web. We only use them for the former.
2. Cookies we use
Session management
If you are logged in to the ccount website (for example, a future web app), a session cookie keeps you authenticated between page loads. This cookie is:
- Essential — the service cannot function without it.
- Session-scoped — deleted when you close your browser.
- First-party — set by ccount.app, not a third party.
Theme preference
We use next-themes to remember whether you prefer light or dark mode. This preference is stored as a cookie named theme. It is:
- Functional — improves your experience by remembering your preference.
- Persistent — retained across sessions until you change your preference or clear your cookies.
- First-party — set by ccount.app, not a third party.
- Contains no personal data — only the value “light” or “dark”.
3. Analytics
This website uses Vercel Analytics to understand traffic patterns and page performance. Vercel Analytics is designed for privacy:
- It does not use cookies.
- It does not collect personal data.
- It does not track users across websites.
- It uses a privacy-preserving approach based on aggregated, anonymised data derived from HTTP request headers.
Because Vercel Analytics uses no cookies and collects no personal data, it does not require consent under GDPR or similar regulations.
4. Advertising
ccount uses Google AdMob to display non-personalized banner advertisements within the mobile app. AdMob may use cookies or device identifiers within the app environment, subject to your device's privacy settings and app tracking permissions.
AdMob is not active on this website. No advertising cookies or tracking pixels are loaded on ccount.app.
5. No third-party tracking cookies
We do not use:
- Google Analytics or any analytics platform that uses cookies.
- Facebook Pixel or any social media tracking.
- Advertising networks or retargeting cookies.
- Any third-party tracking or profiling technologies on this website.
6. Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View and delete existing cookies.
- Block cookies from specific websites.
- Block all third-party cookies.
- Be alerted when a cookie is set.
Note that disabling the session cookie will prevent any authenticated functionality. Disabling the theme cookie means your light/dark mode preference will not be remembered between visits.
7. Changes to this policy
If we introduce new cookies or change how we use existing ones, we will update this policy and the “Last updated” date above.
